I'm not a big fan of scales... mainly because thay always read "ERROR" or "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?" when I step on them.

However, I got my hands on an industrial strength scale that does not wince when it sees me coming.

NO MORE RECYCLING STATIONS OR MEAT-PACKING PLANTS FOR ME!

And what's more, this crazy little contraption takes my body-fat percentage as well.  And to answer the next obvious question...

37.6%

I'm pretty damn happy with that as I can only assume that my body-fat percentage was somewhere between 77 - 81% when I started this a few weeks ago.

I'm pretty sure that the gravy used to cover this delicious turkey has a lower fat-to-substance ratio than I did in early January.

Why did I post a picture of this turkey you ask?

Well this is the very same turkey that has haunted me in my dreams for the better part of a week.  It keeps calling my name like a lighthouse beaconing a ship lost at sea.

This beautiful siren keeps singing but my ears are plugged with beeswax for now...

Yeah, that's a respectable bodyfat % for a guy your size. You go, Jason!

...and why can't you eat turkey? It is not fattening...what IS, are all the traditional trimmings one become accustomed to in the US.

Go out and get yourself a nice turkey leg and roast it. Eat it skin and all if that pleases you with a big salad and baked potato. Why not?

Treat yourself now and again with a food-wish and you will be able to stay on your goals easier. Just be reasonable and don't make the really fattening things a frequent habit.

If you don't, once you do reach a good weight you may find yourself diving into all the things you 'denied' yourself...and this is how you will gain it back.

Think 'lifestyle change' and moderation in all things as a commitment and not 'diet and denial'.

      Have some turkey and enjoy.
