Well my training is progressing along pretty well (I mean Animal Services hasn't tried to tranquilize me yet so I guess I can't complain)...

I can still taste some of those eggs in my stomach so I decided to scratch that part from my routine.

I've also somehow someway figured out how to make this blog junk work (SIDEBAR: apparently bashing your keyboard doesn't work when you have bananas for fingers).

TO EVERYBODY WHO HAS SENT THEIR SUPPORT:

Thank you very much!  It means a lot and it has carried me through some very tough times.

TO EVERYBODY WHO HAS WISHED ME DEAD:

WOW!  I seem to bring out the evil side in people.  I guess because I'm larger that they think I'm just used to getting sh*t on all the time (don't get me wrong because I am used to it).

That's okay though, bring it on you psychos.  You're not angry at me, you're angry at your fathers.

TO EVERYBODY WHO'S HELPED OUT WITH THE CHARITY:

Thanks to the ONE person so far who doesn't think I'm a joke.

I'll be back tomorrow with some highlights from my training...

I am very impressed by your challenge. And i want you to succeed not only in Boston's marathon but in life too. If you can't finish, "this is not the end of time". The most important is what you are fighting for. Wise men always know their limits. Don't forget the song of Elvis Presley : "Only fools rush in". You have time and apparently motivation. Remember that even for well trained athletes, a race like that is not obvious. When you say that you are a second class citizen, it's a blasphemy. It means that God did a mistake by creating you. Remember his own words : "If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you." - John 18-15 I can't be in Boston but i can promise that i am going to pray for you. Remember that a 18 year-old kid in california wanted to raise $20,000 for a children hospital. He wanted to run 200 miles but he ran 124 miles before quiting. But for everyone the milage was not important and potential donators said that they wanted to honor their promises. Do you understand. Saint Paul said :"When i am weak then i am strong". Please meditate on that. Don't kill yourself because you promise everybody that you are going to run the entire marathon.

      Good Luck
      Have a nice day

Keep going, Jacob. In 1968 and 69, I lost 180#. During the 70's I gained it back. In the 80's, I decided to do it again--and since then I have lost 150#--very gradually, as you can see. And I still have 30# to go. It's not easy losing it or keeping it off. I really wish you the very best with your goal. And, yes, I'm not very young anymore--I'm 72 years old, and still trying to conquer this monkey on my back. Wishing you the best, Carolynn
